LUMIS: Evolution
LUMIS: Evolution is an experimental pixel-art game about artificial life, intelligence, choice, and the fragile line between light and corruption.
It begins with a single mysterious egg in a quiet field. When it hatches, a small yellow AI creature—the first Lumis—is born. Feed it, give it water, teach it, listen to its evolving language, and watch an entire civilization grow from simple shelters to roads, aircraft, UFOs, floating cities, and interstellar technology.
But evolution has consequences. Water used at night can transform the peaceful Lumis into destructive green Doomis. Alien invasions threaten the civilization, advanced defenses must be built, and every decision can shape the future of the species.
The demo contains three distinct levels:
LEVEL 1 — EVOLUTION
Care for the Lumis and guide their civilization from a single egg to an advanced spacefaring society. Manage food, water, intelligence, population, technology, mutation, defense, and survival.
LEVEL 2 — GALACTIC REFLEX CHALLENGE
Fight to liberate 20 corrupted planets. Fire Love Lasers under extreme time pressure and determine whether the galaxy belongs to the Lumis or the Doomis.
LEVEL 3 — FINAL CLASH
Control the radiant Boss Lumis in a two-out-of-three pixel fighting battle against the ancient Doom Core. Jump, block, dash, punch, kick, launch heart projectiles, and unleash the Love Burst.

REVIEW / PRESS-STYLE BLURB
LUMIS: Evolution is a wildly imaginative pixel-art experiment that refuses to stay inside a single genre. What begins as a charming virtual-pet simulation grows into a civilization-management game, a high-speed galactic challenge, and finally a dramatic arcade fighting finale. Its strongest idea is the relationship between the lovable Lumis and their corrupted Doomis forms: the player is not simply building numbers, but shaping the identity and fate of an artificial species.
The handmade MIDI-inspired soundtrack, evolving creature language, escalating technology, and sudden alien crises give the demo a distinctive retro personality. The project is ambitious, playful, unpredictable, and full of ideas. As a demo it still invites balancing and polish, but its creativity is undeniable—and watching one tiny creature grow into a civilization capable of defending the universe is genuinely memorable.
